Biak (24/5) - Biak Frans Kaisiepo Airport was very boisterous. 10.45 WIT the sound of gunfire and explosions heard in the distance. Sirens blared make the atmosphere tense airport. There, Seen four armed men standing behind the plane and the other two to the airport terminal. Firing guns and throwing Molotov cocktails at police. At 12.15 WIT, the incidence of crash landing occurred. A plane stuck on runway 11 Biak Frans Kaisiepo Airport. The aircraft of type Boeing 737-900 caught fire and made an emergency landing at the airport of Frans Kaisiepo. 13.45 WIT, at the Tower Building suddenly appeared fairly thick smoke. Tower building in Biak Frans Kaisiepo Airport was on fire. Within a few minutes after smoke was seen, sirens of Fire Car and ambulance sound toward building the tower. The team tried to extinguish the fire extinguisher with alacrity. The victim was immediately taken to the nearest hospital.

PKD 87th Biak Frans Kaisiepo Airport as an event with the activities of a full scale exercise held every two years. PKD activities undertaken to test and evaluate the response, coordination and action taken by any personnel when the incident occurred.
